Influenced by the city’s architecture, the Hiscox Building is one of York’s award-winning commercial structures.
The Hiscox Building is a new-build in the heart of medieval York, measuring a total of 4,431m2 and acting as a focal point for the neighbourhood. The scheme provides an open and spacious office for 500 people and a welcoming space that aids in bringing people together.
The £19m four-storey building has several pieces of artwork integrated into the design; a decommissioned Soviet rocket is the centrepiece in the atrium for the sculptural cast-concrete office.
Gleeds provided cost management, advisory and health and safety services throughout the progression of the award-winning commercial building.
