Al Wa'ab City, Doha

Low on population density, high on community value

The concept for Al Wa’ab City was born from an endeavour to complement Qatar’s development initiatives and vision to provide high quality living in Doha. The client wanted to create a low-rise, low-density community, contrasting to surrounds of the city.

Bringing the Qatar 2030 vision to life

Strategically located next to main arterial roads and premium schools, Al Wa’ab City’s residents will also be connected via Al Wa’ab Station, which is currently under construction, to Doha Metro’s anticipated Gold Line. A number of roadside retail centres have been constructed parallel to the Salwa Road, the highway linking Doha to the south of the country and Saudi Arabia.

Drawing upon our extensive cost management experience in the region, we offered impartial advice to provide pre- and post-contract management services for the entire development area, enforcing contractual conditions and protecting our client’s interest whilst actively managing budgets to deliver our involvement in the project to the agreed specification and schedule.

Providing homes for 8,000 people

Encouraging a diverse space to live and work, Al Wa’ab City accommodates 8,000 people in over 2,000 homes, ranging from luxurious villas to contemporary apartments, blending private family spaces with public gardens and squares.

The development includes over 100,000 sq m of retail space and 200,000 sq m of office accommodation spread over 1.25 million sq m, supported by considerable infrastructure and 10,700 off-road parking spaces.
