Association of Women in Property announces new South Wales Chairman

The Association of Women in Property (WiP) has announced Nicola Jones, project manager at Gleeds, as their new South Wales chairman for 2017/18, taking on the role from 1st March for one year.

Nicola is a project manager based in the Gleeds Cardiff office. She works across the entire project lifecycle; managing time, quality, cost, change and risk, within many sectors such as Health, Heritage, Education and Manufacturing.

Over the last ten years, more than 600 members have undertaken the group’s mentoring programme and over 700 undergraduates have participated in WiP’s National Student Awards - part of their education programme to encourage young women to pursue a career in the industry. They also run mid-career workshops and a boardroom series for those aspiring to top roles, helping individual’s to realise their potential.

Commenting on her appointment, Nicola said: “I am honoured to be selected as Chairman of WiP for 2017, a milestone year for the organisation as it marks thirty years since its formation. Originally setup as a networking group for women working in the property and construction industry, the group has since held over 8,000 events across the UK, promoting diversity and professional development at every level.”
